The wives and children from multi-cultural families in East Asia often face a myriad of social and health challenges, including poor mental health outcomes, stigma, and discrimination. Global Together has been working to empower these families and would deeply value the opportunity to continue this work with the help of the Toyota Foundation. Global Together will host an international conference, inviting participants working with multi-cultural family issues in East Asia to share their challenges, experiences, and opinions about past projects and events. During the workshop, using the Delphi technique, we will devise several key priorities for governments and non-governmental organizations that can help multi-cultural families navigate health and psychosocial obstacles. Global Together will publish a report based on the information shared over the duration of the conference, including the main challenges that multi-cultural families face and the key priorities that were decided upon at the conclusion of the conference.
