企画書・概要 (Abstract of Project Proposal)

In 2025, the ratio of the older people becomes 30.3% in Japan. To tackle this issue, successful aging is essential matter. This collaborative study between Japan and Thailand, investigates whether any health care aspects could be fused into hair dresser/barber environment. Hair dresser/barber is scattered in community. This place is for people visiting regularly and to be touched comfortably. If any health care intervention infuses into this area, it is possible to prevent diseases and achieve successful aging. Demand on hospital is also reduced by reducing the number of patients due to this preventive action. Firstly, we understand the current status of hair dresser/barber in both countries by visiting each countries and questionnaire survey. Then, we have meetings with a few hair dresser/barber which participate for our study, to discuss about what kind of health care aspects could be used. Based on this discussion, a health care intervention (massage, health check, and counseling on daily life) is performed at hair dresser/barber. Pre-post the intervention, stress level, shoulder muscles hardness, and quality of life are evaluated to optimize the intervention. Lastly, we review what kind of technology and underling technology to develop information exchange platform.
