企画書・概要 (Abstract of Project Proposal)

We approach the problem of distributive justice from the viewpoint of developmental learning, which stresses that poor young people's participation into community building process empowers their developing and becoming. We would reformulate the concept of distributive justice in terms of people's local and practical activities and translate it into action researches which will build convivial communities for young people. Poor young people, exposed to the economical gap and having less social capital, are inevitably deficient in socio-cultural experiences for getting together with diverse adult people, who have various knowledge and skills. Thus, poor youth would be deficient in models for who they will become in their future beyond who they are now. In our practical research, we would build communities that serve as an organization for re-distribution of social capitals and relational goods, giving young people chances to get together with diverse adult people. This community building process, in our view, would be a local and practical re-conceptualization of distributive justice.
