企画書・概要 (Abstract of Project Proposal)

Asia and Africa are facing various problems that are escalating towards a time limit, such as the gradual depletion of resources and destruction of the ecology due to harvesting of resources necessary for human survival and development. On the other hand, potential for the solution of these various problems, as well as for the formation of an ideal future society, can be seen in the multitude of surviving cultures and societies, occupations, traditional wisdom, conflict experiences, and human vitality. The wide range of academic insights and experiences that accumulate in these areas will provide specific content to the formation of a new academic field, as well as mobility to education and the social execution of projects. Is it not the humble consideration and attitude of the people towards resources and ecology that suppresses decisions and actions that bring rapid and excessive destruction to the resources and ecology of an area? This human "fear and respect" can be seen reflected in the sensibilities of the diverse lifestyles unique to each area.
This research project will investigate the possibilities of social execution and cultural integration of development support and the preservation of ecosystems and biodiversity through the creation of trans-interdisciplinary methods using recorded video footage from field studies standing on peoples' livelihood of the locals - including from before the studies - taken alongside researchers in the field in Kenya, Vietnam, Tanzania, India, Burkina Faso, and multiple locations in Japan.
